Founded as a grassroots Meetup group in 2019, Tampa Bay Psychedelic has grown into one of Florida's leading community organizations dedicated to psychedelic education, peer support, and harm reduction.

We believe that everyone deserves access to accurate information, compassionate support, and a welcoming community where conversations about psychedelics can happen openly, responsibly, and without stigma. Whether you're curious, preparing for an experience, integrating insights afterward, supporting a loved one, or simply seeking connection, you'll find a place here.

Our programs foster education, meaningful dialogue, and peer connection while promoting safety, personal responsibility, and evidence-informed harm reduction. We are committed to creating inclusive spaces where every voice matters. We practice a simple principle: Give Space, Take Space. By listening deeply, sharing thoughtfully, and respecting diverse perspectives, we cultivate a community built on curiosity, care, and mutual respect.

Founder and President

Lauren Moquin

Lauren Moquin is the founder of Tampa Bay Psychedelic, which began as a grassroots Meetup group in 2019. Driven by a deep passion for connecting people, Lauren envisioned a space to educate the community about the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine for mental health, personal growth, and healing. Through the responsible use of psychedelics and the power of peer support, the organization addresses the isolation, depression, anxiety, and addiction that many individuals face. Lauren strongly believes that every community deserves access to high-quality, free, or affordable psychedelic education and peer support to foster understanding, safety, and integration. With extensive training and hands-on experience in psychedelic harm reduction, sitting, and integration, Lauren brings expertise and a compassionate approach to supporting individuals on their healing journeys. Her work continues to inspire and uplift the Tampa Bay community and beyond.

Director

Christine Caldwell

Founder, End of Life Psychedelic Care, a nonprofit based on the principle that psychedelic care can play a pivotal role in easing anxiety and depression, as well as the emotional and spiritual challenges that often accompany a life-threatening illness. She is the former owner of a Sarasota-based 250-client home health care agency. Christine is the Co-Chair Dying Well Initiative, a strategic initiative through the Global Wellness Institute and is a graduate from the 12-month Psychedelics Today Vital Therapies and Integration Program. She also holds three certifications through the Deepak Chopra Training Program in Ayurveda, Meditation, and Total Wellbeing Coach.

Secretary

Samala

Samala supports individuals navigating the transformative path of psychedelic healing through mindful integration and embodied self-inquiry. Her approach blends evidence-based awareness practices, parts-based exploration, and somatic grounding to help people prepare for, move through, and meaningfully integrate expanded states of consciousness. Rooted in Unified Mindfulness and informed by frameworks that examine belief patterns, inner conflict, and nervous system resilience, her work gently guides people toward insight and wholeness. Samala also brings years of experience in organizational change and human-centered strategy, offering a unique ability to bridge inner transformation with real-world systems and relationships. She is honored to support the mission of the Tampa Bay Psychedelic Community and is committed to ethical, inclusive, and heart-centered approaches to healing and growth.

Member Policy

Members shall behave with sincerity, courtesy, and respect for each other and while attending TBP events and on TBP social media accounts.
Tampa Bay Psychedelic does not sell or provide sources for any illegal items or substances.
Promoting any illicit goods or services is strictly prohibited at TBP events and TBP social media accounts.
Members shall not engage in illegal activities during TBP events or on TBP social media accounts.
Members shall not bring, buy, sell, trade, or arrive with any illegal substances during TBP events.
Violations of any of TBP rules will result in receiving a written warning with a 30-day suspension from attending TBP events and from TBP social media. A second offense will result in a written notification of being banned from TBP events and TBP social media accounts. If a banned member attends a TBP event they will be asked to leave. Members have the right to appeal by sending an email to the executive director.
